During my time as a student at Oxford and subsequently, the OCHS has been a focal point every Wednesday for amazing company and great homecooked food. Over the years, the conversations and ideas deliberated with the great company forged here has left an indelible impact on my personal and professional life. Therefore, I would like to make this small donation so that it can contribute towards scholarly advancements by the centre.

This award has been established by Dr Arijit Patra, alumnus of the Department of Engineering Science and Exeter College (DPhil, 2016) of the University of Oxford, in memory of Shri Nilkantha Patra

The award is meant for the best student(s) working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, alignment, emerging technologies, ethics, and Hindu and Eastern philosophical traditions interpreted broadly.
