Sourabh Sharma is a dynamic museum professional, multidisciplinary artist, and Sanskrit scholar with a passion for curating meaningful artistic and cultural connections. With a background in Fine Art from MIT School of Fine Art, Pune (BFA) and a Master’s in Fine Art from Arts University Bournemouth (MA Fine Art), his work bridges contemporary artistic practice with historical and cultural narratives.

Culture is a crucial element of Sharma’s art practice. His work explores the intersections of art, heritage, and human experience, delving into themes of identity, tradition, and emotional expression. He has worked extensively on the visualization of music and emotions, translating intangible sensations into compelling visual forms. A key aspect of his research and practice involves making handmade colours from semi-precious stones sourced from different countries, reviving ancient pigment-making techniques. He also specializes in microscopic painting, creating intricate artworks on materials as delicate as rice grains and hair strands.

Drawing on extensive expertise in arts education, exhibition curation, and community engagement, Sharma specializes in creating exhibitions and programs that resonate with diverse audiences. He has also worked in museums to develop inclusive experiences for neurodiverse audiences, particularly individuals on the autism spectrum and those with intellectual disabilities, ensuring accessibility and meaningful engagement with art.
